Book 2, Post 2: Resilient: How to Grow an Unshakeable Core

After reading more of Dr. Rick Hanson's book,  Resilient: How to Grow an Unshakable Core of Calm, Strength, and Happiness, I learned more about how much power there is behind the conscious mind and thought. I really enjoy reading this type of content as it is always great to improve ones mental strength. Similar to a professor at Stanford, Andrew Huberman, Dr. Rick Hanson uses science and research to back his ideas of mental strength and neuroplasticity which further proves that his claims are correct. This book is a book that gives a step by step to build positive neuroplasticity, something that I have learned about before through the Andrew Huberman podcast. Andrew Huberman, a neuroscience professor at Stanford University also dives deep into this conversation of postiive neuroplasticity as a form of creating a strong foundation for resilience.  The book expresses 12 key inner resources to build an unshakeable core including: Self-worth, Confidence, Determination, Calm, Connection, Contentment, Courage, Compassion, Love, Integrity, Gratitude, and Aspiration. All of these inner resources contribute to creating a very strong sense of self and ability to endure difficult experiences. I find it very interesting to see this topic found in multiple cultures both in the present and past. Another example of this form of mentality is the one of the Stoics, back in...
